I am very excited to introduce my first book, Chandra’s Wives: A Soul’s Journey. This was recently published and is available on Amazon. This is an ode to the nakshatras which is special for Vedic Astrology. Since this idea is not widely known in the West, I wanted to find a more poetic way to help people understand them. This is an illustrated book with the basics of each nakshatra, including the constellation and stars they link into. When I give Vedic Astrology readings, nakshatras reveal important themes and ideas in people’s lives but they are not familiar with them. In a sense they have no context for what I am describing. For example if someone told you that your Sun was in the sign of Taurus you have a connotation or feeling of what this means. However, if you never knew there were 12 other signs such as Aries or Leo, that would make a difference in receiving this information. There are many resources for listing the characteristics of each nakshatra online and in books, but they are simply lists. If you have tried to learn Tarot cards (all 78 of them) and you just read long lists of often conflicting details, it would be no fun at all and you wouldn’t really know them either. This book is meant to give some context in meaning to universal themes touched by the nakshatra system. It is meant to be a more enjoyable to learn them with imagery. I hope this book inspires more people to learn and think about Vedic Astrology as a way to understand both themselves and the world around them.
